Upgrading from the free version
If the free Variation Matrix for WooCommerce plugin from WordPress.org is already installed, install and activate Pro in the usual way. Activating Pro deactivates the free version automatically and shows a one-time notice to confirm that it has done so.
Product settings, global options and theme template overrides are shared between the free and Pro versions, so nothing needs to be reconfigured: every product that used the free plugin keeps its layout and options, and any templates you copied into your theme continue to be used.
Quick start
- Edit a variable product that already has variations.
- In the Product data panel, open the Variation Matrix tab.
- Tick Enable Variation Matrix.
- Choose a Layout Type and the details you want to show.
- Select Update, then view the product on the front end.
The standard WooCommerce attribute dropdowns are replaced by the matrix. Customers type quantities next to the variations they want and select Add Selected to Cart once. An Order Totals bar between the variations and the button keeps a running count of items, weight and price as they type.
The tab only appears on variable products. If you cannot see the Variation Matrix tab, set the product type to Variable product and add at least one variation first.
